About a year or so ago, I gave up picking out my boys’ clothes for school. It never failed. I would take the time the night before to carefully select and lay out a nice shirt, pair of pants, and socks. In the morning, it became a battle. Their outfits were either too itchy or not comfortable for them. AND they didn’t like it when mom picked out their clothes. They would prefer choosing what they wore, which I totally understood. They were getting older and needed more independence.
If they actually wore what I picked out, then most days they’d come home with grass stains on the knees of their pants or paint from art class smeared on their shirts. I learned quickly that it’s not worth the battle AND it’s not worth ruining nice clothes.
Now when I ask them to wear something nice (outside of school) they usually don’t give me a hard time. I love seeing my boys dressed up. Maybe I’m biased but they look so darn cute!
That’s why I am excited to team up with Kids Headquarters this Mother’s Day. They sent my guys some really cool clothes from Tommy Hilfiger so they can look nice for their mama. My boys never fussed when I asked them to put the clothes on….one point for mom!
My 6 year-old is KING of picky and actually requested to wear his outfit to visit his new baby cousin in the hospital (my sister had her baby over the weekend, yay!) Then he wore the shorts to school on Monday. That tells you that the clothes are very comfortable, otherwise believe me he would NOT be wearing them.
I thought my guys looked so cute so we did a little photo session to show off their new looks.
I can’t get over how stinkin’ cute they look. They do clean up well I must say.
Our little photo shoot would not be complete without some silly poses. The boys were DYING to let loose and make crazy faces. You can’t keep them standing still for too long.
I just love the Tommy Hilfiger line. From dressy to casual, the Tommy assortment brings sophisticated clothes that keep your kids needs in mind. The American brand is known for their smart preppy style and easy-to-wear casual staples. This season’s kidwear for boys has a very patriotic feel with short sleeve shirts in blues and reds and pool-ready swimwear.
I put together a few looks to show off the different styles of clothing that Tommy Hilfiger offers for boys. You can find all of these items (including the ones above) at Macys.com.
