My family LOVES to camp. We have a huge camp out at our home every year. That’s the beauty of living on 3+ acres. Everyone pitches a tent and brings food and activities. My favorite part….sitting around a fire, chatting with my friends, while the kids run around playing flashlight tag or go for an evening swim. It creates awesome memories for our families!
Now that my boys are older, we enjoy going to camp sites. That’s why I was very excited to check out The Hersheypark Camping Resort. If you are heading to Hershey for an extended stay, why not switch things up a bit by camping out instead of staying in a hotel?
The Hersheypark Camping Resort has over 300 sites including basic tent sites, RV sites with partial or full hook up, and 46 cabins. The cabins with the full hook up have indoor plumbing, showers, heat/air conditioning, kitchen, WiFi, and cable. That’s what they call ‘glamping’ and for me, that’s the way to go!
Camp fires are my favorite, especially when S’mores are involved!
The building below houses the welcome center, a convenience store, and an arcade room. In the evening, the side of the building becomes a giant movie screen. Families can lay on blankets or sit in chairs, enjoy a nice snack, and watch a movie together.
Kids can also play at one of the two the parks.
What if it rains? Well, they have an indoor activity center where kids can enjoy games, crafts, and watch movies.
Some of the cabins are wheelchair accessible.
Here’s a quick tour of the inside:
