Our winter has been pretty cold and snowy. When we aren’t trucking through the snow to sports games, we are stuck home. If I don’t find something constructive for my boys to do, they can get a bit crazy.
They love making doughnut snowmen because not only is it a craft (my older son loves crafts) but they can also eat it!
This activity is also perfect for birthday parties and school parties to keep the kids busy and engaged.
Doughnut Snowmen Treat
- Powered sugar doughnuts
- Doughnut holes
- Chocolate pieces for the hat
- Gel or icing for the face
- Pretzel or potato sticks to hold the body together + use for arms
Step 1: Connect two doughnut holes together with either a pretzel stick or potato stick OR just use one doughnut hole.
Step 2: Put the two doughnut holes on top of a powered sugar doughnut OR just put the one doughnut hole on top of the powered sugar doughnut.
Step 3: Use gel to add a face to your snowman.
Step 4: Add a pretzel/potato stick as a nose (may need to break them in half depending on size).
Step 5: Add a chocolate piece to the top of your snowman as a hat.
Step 6: Add arms by using the pretzel/potato sticks.
Step 7: Put flour around your snowman to look like snow!
Step 8: EAT IT!
I put a little video together to show you just how easy and fun it is to make!
