{See my 10 reasons I still adore and love my husband below!}
After 9 years of marriage, things have gotten really “comfortable”.
My husband has seen me at my best, but most of the times he sees me with my hair pulled back, no make-up on and lounging around in yoga pants. Not sexy at all, but hey he still loves me!
I started thinking that I need to spice things up.
How can I flirt with him to keep it fresh and exciting for the both of us?
Here are a few tips to help light that fire in your marriage:
Whisper: For some reason whispering in someone’s ear, can instantly give you goosebumps! No wonder men find this to be a turn on. Try it!
Massage or back rub: Without your husband asking, lean over and start giving him a nice long massage. My hubby melts as soon as I start scratching his back. I love catching him by surprise!
Make eye contact: Most evenings when my husband gets home from work and starts telling me about his day, I’m so preoccupied with the kids that I forget to make eye contact. This is key! I’m trying to make a conscious effort to stop what I’m doing and give him attention. Listen to his stories, laugh at his jokes and forget about the small distractions around me.
Take an interest in his interests: My husband loves to play pool and most evenings when I am upstairs he goes down to the basement to play. Then I realized this is a perfect way for us to spend time together and do something he loves! Find out what your spouse is interested in, and make the effort to learn more about it. Have fun with it!
Always kiss: This is something we always do and I think it’s so important. We kiss hello, good night and even sneak kisses in the middle of the day. I love that we still have affection like we did in the beginning of our relationship. Plus, I think it’s important that my boys see the love that we have for each other.
How do you flirt with your spouse?

I absolutely adore Fawn, creator of the Happy Wives Club, and the wonderful resource and website she has built to help celebrate happy marriages!
So when she emailed me last week to say she was doing her first ever link-up party and asking everyone to share reasons why they love, adore and cherish their husbands, I couldn’t say no!
Here are a few reasons I’m still head over heels in love with my hubby (I have a ton, but I’ll start with 10):
- He makes me laugh and can always put a smile on my face.
- He is an awesome and a fun Dad – love watching him teach the boys new things.
- Works hard to provide us with a good life.
- He believes in me and supports me in everything I do.
- Tells me all the time that I’m a good mom (always nice to hear).
- He has an answer for everything and is super smart (brains are sexy)!
- He is Mr. Fix-it and always has a gadget to fix anything. He will never pay anyone to do anything around the house. If he doesn’t know how to do it, he’ll learn.
- He is logical and always brings me down to earth when I need a little reeling in
- He is the first person I want to call when I need help or advice.
- He is a great friend and super loyal – your secret is safe with him (he won’t even tell me!).
I’m linking up to Happy Wives’ Club! If you have a list of reasons your husband rocks, join us here.

Totally agree about eye contact! So easy to just keep going about our business and not really pay that much attention.

I know! I catch myself doing this all the time and trying to make a point to make that eye contact.
Kissing is so important! We are big on kissing good morning, good night, good bye and at random moments too…like when Chris is cooking in the kitchen!
