I wasn’t going to put together a 2012 review, but as I started looking through past posts and photos it brought back so many memories.
2012 was a mixture of some ups and downs for my family, but every day with them is a blessing.
Here’s what our year looked like:
January
I shared my word for the year “Growth” and what this word means to me.
I started to live more in the moment with my kids.
February
Hosted our first Girls’ Lunch Out in Chicago (and getting ready to host our 3rd event there this February).
Got together for a fun dinner with Corine from Complicated Mama, Heather from Thetamom, Stephanie from Figments of a Mom and Sheila from Pieces of a Mom.
Was thrilled to announce that I started working with The Momiverse and my dear friend, Charmin.
Had fun making fun Valentine’s Day crafts especially our Mustache and Lip Lollipops.
March
Hosted our first Girls’ Lunch Out event in Red Bank, NJ.
Baseball started.
Took daily bike rides.
April
Hosted an Angry Birds themed birthday party for my 6 year old.
Attended the launch of “A Very Veggie World” with Country Crock.
Learned how to make a flag pizza at the event.
Met Vanessa Lachey at the Tide and P&G’s Future Friendly “Take a Load Off” campaign.
May
My oldest learned how to ride a bike without training wheels!
Spent a lot of time at the park.
Ate lots and lots of ice-cream and pondered the question, “What will my children remember about me?”
Hosted a cocktail party for Girls’ Lunch Out in Philadelphia with over 100 women!
June
Created a summer bucket list with the boys.
Couldn’t get the boys out of the pool.
Shared tips on ways to have some backyard fun.
Spent time down the shore.
July
Participated in my first mud run.
Attended the Chevrolet Owner Appreciation Day at Hershey Park and got to take a spin in a few super cool cars!
Landed a job with BabyCenter in their social media department (absolutely love my job).
August
Attended Blogher and got the chance to hang out with some of my favorite people.
Co-hosted the live twitter party from The Big Toy Book‘s Sweet Suite event with Corine from Complicated Mama and Joey from Real Mom Media.
Met the lovely Kristin Davis.
Threw a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom and 90th for my Grandmom.
September
First day of school for both of my boys. My oldest started first grade and my little guy went to school for the very first time. Even though it was an emotional start, mom was a bit excited to have 2 hours to herself a week
Said good-bye to my beloved Grandmom, who I miss every single day.
October
Announced my partnership with P&G as their Trend Trio Family Expert for Have You Tried This Yet?
Spent many chilly Saturday mornings on the soccer field.

Had fun dressing up as a family and trick-or-treating!

November
Took our very first family trip to Disney!
My boys had the opportunity to go up against the evil Darth Vader.
Celebrated my 9th wedding anniversary (and we are still having fun together!).
My little guy celebrated his 4th birthday, I celebrated my 35th and then ended up in the hospital with pneumonia (what a month).
December
Said good-bye to my sweet kitty, Maggie, way too soon.
My boys starred in their first video for the Milk Mustache Campaign.
Our family ended up sick for two weeks around Christmas, but we made the best of it.
Ended the month by ringing in the New Year and releasing balloons into the air with a special wish.
2012 was definitely a full year with lots of changes, excitement and heartache.
I’m looking forward to an adventurous 2013 and anxious to see what the new year brings us.
