Finally Saw Santa & Blogging Break

The past week we have all been sick; me, hubby and both boys.

We’ve been stuck home w/fevers, sore throats, ear infections, coughing, sneezing, etc.

Not a fun way to spend the week before Christmas, especially when my to-do list was longer than my arm.

It’s been pretty tough with all of us sick, and I admit I’m just a tad bit tired of hearing everyone cough and sneeze around me.

I feel like my boys missed out on doing some of our holiday traditions this year like visiting the Live Nativity in our area, riding around to see the Christmas lights and most importantly visiting Santa.

So yesterday when the boys woke up finally feeling better, I decided to bundle them up and take them to see the big guy.

They handed Santa their lists that they worked on all week and he whispered to them, “So glad you gave this to me before I head back to the North Pole to pack my sleigh.” 

Better late than never, right?

The boys stood there, a little star struck. For the first time, they were speechless and this photo captures it perfectly!

The next few days will be pretty busy, so I’ll be taking a short blogging break until after the New Year. It’s nice to just unplug and spend time with the family, something I need to try and do more often.

Also, I want some time to think about the direction of LWP.
