Chevrolet Owner Appreciation Day at Hershey Park

by Life Without Pink on July 9, 2012

Saturday hit record temperatures in my area reaching 103!

I bet you are thinking that I stayed inside and tried to beat the heat?

Wrong!

As the Philly Chevy Girls Community Manager, I participated in their Ride and Drive at Hershey Park.

Let’s just say, I wasn’t thinking about the heat as I was driving around in these beauties!

There was a driver’s track set up outside so you could take a spin in the hottest cars on the market.

It’s like they rolled out the red carpet for you!

After signing in, you waited in line for your vehicle of choice.

Then a Chevrolet representative went over details about the car, answered any questions you might have and then played co-pilot while you gave the car a good test drive.

It’s the perfect way to check out multiple Chevrolet vehicles at one time to see which model is the perfect fit for you!

When it was my turn, I wanted to check out a safe family car that would save me money on gas. I guess it’s the mom in me.

I had the opportunity to experience the state-of-the-art technology in the NEW 2013 Malibu ECO.

Stopped at a red light, sitting in gridlock traffic, coasting down a hill – when the car is stopped, eAssist seamlessly switches from using gas to energy in its lithium-ion battery to power accessories.

Talk about awesome!

Now for my husband and the rest of the guys in my family, they opted for speed!

My husband thought it was very cool that they had a straight away where they encouraged you to put the pedal to the floor.

This allowed you to feel the acceleration and, in his words, “made it worth standing in the long line to test drive the Chevy Corvette!

My kids couldn’t stop talking about the fact that Bumble Bee was sitting right next to them.

They were slightly disappointed that he didn’t transform but we told them that he was trying to keep his “identity” safe and they thought that was a pretty smart idea!

The event was a complete success and after we were done test driving cars we enjoyed a day at Hershey Park.

It was one great weekend!

Disclosure: I was given a complimentary tickets to Hershey Park for my participation in Chevrolet Owner Appreciation Day. I was not compensated for this post.   All opinions expressed are my own and not influenced in any way.

I would have been all over that camaro! I love the new design with the old school at the heart of it all. What fun and to top it off with a day in the park…

What a brave mama! Going out there in that heat and making the best of it!

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time! And I’d be in awe of the Bumble Bee car too!
