Before hitting a big event I often find myself stepping into my closet and staring at all my clothes. The question, “What should I wear?” rings in my head and leaves me feeling very overwhelmed.
That’s why last week I had the lovely Carly from thirtysomethingfashion.com put together a few looks for me.
Then I had everyone vote on what I should wear to my #GLOParty cocktail party and to Bloggy Boot Camp Philadelphia.
So you may be wondering what I actually wore.
Drum roll please…….
I admit I did deviate a bit from her choices for my cocktail party attire.
The third style board she designed gave me the inspiration to purchase skinny jeans and a dressy top.
Here’s what I wore to the #GLOParty:

And I used my own jewelry.
Now onto what I wore at Bloggy Boot Camp.
You’ll be happy to know I wore the first look that Carly put together for me, which happened to be the most popular choice. I have to say I LOVE the dress!
Not to mention it’s super comfortable, see I can even do this…..
What I learned from Carly is to mix and match items that you already own.
I purchased the dress and belt, but also used items from my closet: cardigan from Old Navy, Steve Madden shoes I bought years ago and jewelry I didn’t even know I had.
