Yesterday I was having fun with my boys. We spent the day outside and then came in for a quick lunch before heading back outdoors.
I took a quick video of them and after reviewing it realized there are a few things wrong with it!
Take a look and see if you can find them:
1. Little B is standing on a chair while eating. Such a no no!
2. I am letting him put his foot on the counter because I think he is pretty funny.
3. Big A has sunburn on his arms and neck. You probably can’t tell as much but he has been crying about it for two days straight. Mommy Fail!
4. Big A won’t eat his lunch {no surprise there} and just want fishes. So I did what every good mom does, gave in! Hey at least he ate that day.
5. I am busy taping Big A and not paying attention to Little B {who like I said above is standing on the chair with his foot on the counter} and of course what happens? He fell off the chair! - don’t worry he was fine -
Yes folks its official I am not getting the Mommy of the Year Award. Bummer. I guess I’ll try next year.
Oh if you can’t tell my blog is going through some changes. You may see different designs up here from time to time until I finally make a decision. And I have an exciting new feature I will be adding….oh I can’t wait! Thanks to Frilly Coconut for being so patient with me!

I think you are a great mom! You are just normal like the rest of us! At least your kid sits at the counter to eat even if his foot is up there. Mine usually walks around the house with his food or eats on at the coffee table in front of the TV. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that I’d be pretty stiff competition for the whole “Not Mommy of the Year” thing!
Can’t wait to see your new feature!

Oh the new feature will be fun…can’t wait for it to be up. Let’s just say you can “air your dirty laundry there”…it’ll be fun!
You know, what I saw and heard was a Mommy who was listening to her boys, praising them and being very positive and FUN! That’s nothing to sniff at you know!
I love hearing your accents! So gorgeous.

So sweet thanks
Yeah you can probably tell I am a Jersey girl….most can spot that accent a mile away!
I think we all deserve a Not Mom of the Year Award. At least your boys are at the counter. Getting my son to sit still while eating is darn near impossible!
And fishies aren’t a bad lunch. At least not in my house!

So true…they love the counter and much prefer that over the actual table…oh well…they’ll eat better there!
Bad Mommy..NOT! We all think we are failing at one time or another. I am constantly feeling like a bad mom, there are so many things that I let the boys get away with that I wouldn ‘t of think of doing 2 years ago. I just have to keep saying to myself that my boys are healthy and happy and sometimes I just got to let go a little. BTW…can’t wait to air my dirty laundry
Yes that they are…healthy and happy running around like little wild men
Foot on the table (counter), falling out of chairs and giving in… that is all the time at my house!
I will NEVER be mom of the year. I am just trying to make it to their 18th birthdays!
Cute post.
Haha that is funny. Yeah I am trying to keep my sanity until they at least get into middle school, hoping I can!
The only thing I noticed after watching it twice was the fall at the end but only because you gasped. I am so bad at gasping when the babies I nanny for fall, I know it just makes it worse but it is a natural reaction.
Don’t beat yourself up about the sunburn too bad. My youngest is so fair skinned no matter how deligent I am about sunscreen she ends up getting burned several times a year. My son never burns. Just a few weeks ago (right before her dance recital) she got a horrible burn on her back while swimming in the neighbors kiddie pool. I asked her 2-3 times to reapply sunscreen and she swore to me she did. Too bad she got everywhere but her back. I should’ve just done it myself!
Oh I know I learned my lesson. My 4 yr old has my milky white skin, poor guy.
i swear, tina…my heart actually swells with love when i see your boys! i LOVE them!! i hope B and hudson still have their beautiful relationship when they are older!! (in laws!!! yay!!!) i still have that pic from when they first met hudson!! xoxo so funny!!! and p.s…you are a wonderful mommy! you love, protect and take care of your babies….love you!! xoxo
You crack me up! You are a great mom! Your boys are adorable.
What’s your new feature? I can’t wait to see what it is. When will it be up? huh, huh?? LOL
Awww, don’t beat yourself up! My boy is a redhead and is COVERED in freckles and do you think I remember every time to “goop” him up? Heck no! One time we were at the beach and I actually DID remember to goop him all over (and even put a shirt on him. WOW!). We came back later that day for lunch and a nap—he was perfectly white, except for this great big pink patch on one side of his face and chest. Heh heh–guess I forgot that part! ; )
