Here I go. Day One

After a few months of going back and forth, I finally decided to jump in and start my own personal blog. I have been blogging for the past year at Otherhood and I am so proud of how much it has grown. At first I started slowly but the more and more I learned and blogged the more I fell in love.

So here I am with my own blog.  It is not fully completed so please excuse the bare appearance.  I have been very excited to get started and didn’t want to wait another minute.  I will be working on a new design and hopefully that will be ready shortly.

I am a little anxious and slightly nervous about my blog.  With Otherhood, I have a team behind me. Even though I pretty much post everyday my partner, Colleen, and our two contributors, Trina & Brandi, are amazing writers that do a wonderful job of providing lots of useful information and great conversation topics.

But here I am alone. Totally alone.  Little scary but at the same time such a GREAT feeling!

So what will I write about? Well after thinking about starting my own blog for months and months, I have lots of thoughts and ideas that I can’t wait to share. There is one thing to know about me.  My mind is constantly going, never stops.  I will mostly discuss my life as a mom, share yummy recipes {I love to cook}, dish about products I have tried, occasionally throw in a giveaway or two, discuss blogging tips & resources and whatever else crosses my mind that day.

Now you may wonder, why Life Without Pink?

I am a mom of two boys. I often get asked, “So when are you trying for a girl?” Funny how people assume that you aren’t satisfied with having all boys. Yes of course I would love a little girl, but that’s not what God gave me.  My boys are awesome and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

However, I must let you in on a little secret. I have asked my husband what he thought about the idea of trying for a 3rd {which sometimes I don’t know what I am thinking} but he totally shot me down! So for now my life is full with my little guys and who knows what the future holds for us? You’ll have to follow my blog to see what happens….
